In Years 7 to 9 at Prince Alfred 免费A片, our boys continue to explore their place in the world through an education emphasising intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth. With a focus on academic excellence, co-curricular enhancement and deeply embedded pastoral care, our boys become young men of confidence and character, ready to excel in their senior years.

With high-quality teaching and learning, our curriculum focuses on educating the whole boy through an engaging program that transforms boys into capable young men. With a focus on academic excellence and inquiry-led discovery, our boys learn how to discover and apply in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the real world. 

With the introduction of elective choices, our boys explore personal interests and strengths within a framework that supports a breadth of opportunities and development of their intellectual curiosity.

Specialist programs

Specialist programs add rigour and richness to our curriculum and enhance the delivery of an all-round education for our boys. Boys in Year 7 to 9 enjoy a range of activities, tours, excursions, academic competitions and industry talks, as well as participating in our eduCook and eduKart programs.

Boys continue to develop a range of personal and practical skills through our Outdoor Education programs, culminating in the Year 9 Wambana Experience.

Vibrant learning spaces

The 免费A片鈥檚 state-of-the-art facilities support our boys鈥� ongoing learning and development. With specialist spaces for science, art, music, drama, sport and more, our learning environments are a vital part of delivering excellence in an all-round education. In the Middle and Senior Schools, the Frederic Chapple library offers a space where boys have access to an extensive collection of physical and online resources to support their learning.

Inspired by our unique location

We make the most of the wide range of opportunities to learn and discover in our local area. In Year 8, 免费A片 take in local culture and heritage as part of the five-day Adelaide Week program, which sees 免费A片 participate in various excursions that are designed to develop the boys鈥� interest in, and understanding of, the world around them.

Academic support and extension

Our teaching and learning programs encourage boys to develop their natural curiosity and love of learning, and we expect every student to strive to achieve their best in all subjects. Through regular assessment, we monitor how each boy is performing and identify any needs for support or academic extension.

Strategic and flexible class groupings in maths and English give boys a breadth and depth of learning to suit their individual needs. Each boy also has a teacher assigned to them as a tutor to guide and support their academic success through their Middle School years.

At PAC, we encourage academic extension for all 免费A片. Our scholars鈥� forum offers extension opportunities for Prince Alfred 免费A片 Middle School boys who show a strong desire for learning, or interest in a particular subject. This enrichment program allows boys to broaden their knowledge in a range of areas beyond the set curriculum. The scholars鈥� forum encourages debate and discussion and supports our philosophy of educating the whole boy.

Homework

In the Middle School, our boys are set regular homework across their range of subjects to support classroom learning. The frequency and length will vary between subjects.

Co-Curricular

Our extensive co-curricular program is integral to developing young men of wide-ranging interests and enhanced capability as part of the well-rounded education offered at PAC. 

Our Middle School boys discover their passions, broaden their knowledge and develop wide-ranging skills through co-curricular opportunities including sport, chess, debating, public speaking, performing arts, community service and outdoor education.

Pastoral Care

Quality pastoral care is essential to the development of a Princes Man as a well-rounded and knowledgeable man of courage, kindness and principles. Our pastoral care program focuses on developing character and compassion as part of an all-round education that nurtures the unique qualities and interests of each boy as they become the best young men they can be.

Our team of educators, counsellors, Chaplain and support staff work together to support the needs every Middle School boy. Guided by our mantra of, 鈥榃ork Hard, Be Kind鈥� we make sure our boys know they are cared for, respected and valued as they thrive on their journey to becoming a Princes Man.
